So much to be thankful for in November, the weather is cooling down and the Holidays are here! Winter time is Lake Havasu is just beautiful, probably one of the very few places where the weather outside is not frightful! So many outdoor events begin in November to kick off the Holiday season. Every year, the day after Thanksgiving while some people spend time with their family or begin their holiday shopping, you will find some of Lake Havasu's residents swimming across the channel! Yep you read that right, some of Lake Havasu’s residents and visitors swim across the Bridgewater channel in hopes of winning the honor of flipping the switch to light up the London Bridge and English Village. The Christmas lights in the English Village and on the Bridge get hung all through out the month of November. The switch is flipped the day after Thanksgiving every year and is lit up every night from November 24- January 1st. It is a breathtaking display of lights you don’t want to miss! Santa can be spotted under the bridge with Mrs. Clause, make sure to stop by and visit! November 24th is also the opening of the ice skating rink, walking distance from the display of lights, at the London Bridge Resort! Get out and enjoy all the festivities our beautiful city has to offer!
