Camping In Lake Havasu
Every day after the high temperatures fall below the 100's, one will find trailers on the outskirts of town.
Havasu is a huge destination for winter visitors. Not all of whom own a secondary home here. The desert suits them just fine.
Locals will hit the trails on the weekends venturing out to their destinations for the day, and returning to their trailers by night.
By nightfall, campfires and boisterous laughs will fill the air. Memories will be made and stories shared.
This is a tradition of my family. We go camping for Thanksgiving, New Year's, and sometimes Valentine's Day, with some weekends between of course.
This is where my family taught me to ride a quad and motorcycle, how to drive a truck, and how to work a clutch.
My mother would always follow behind my bike while my brother and father would take off down the trail miles ahead.
As time went on, the gap between the groups became much more minimal, if even there at all.
These are the memories I have from growing up in this wonderful town. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
