Summer Is Coming
I don't know about you, but I love summer. Here in Lake Havasu, it gets insanely hot in summer here. I'm sure that you are reading this right now, thinking, Cindy, you are crazy, it isn't even spring yet. You're right, it technically isn't. If you are from Lake Havasu, you know that we really don't have 4 seasons here. Winter basically turns into summer within the blink of an eye. A few weeks ago, it was gloomy and cool and windy. It's suddenly bright, sunny, and warm. You can actually wear shorts and a tank top and be fine! I can't wait for summer to completely be here. In lake Havasu, summer is when Havasu awakens. People boat, ski, swim, and do a bunch of other things in Lake Havasu. If you aren't actually from Lake Havasu, but you are looking for the perfect place to visit, Havasu is the place to come to. If you are someone who isn't big on heat, I wouldn't recommend coming in between May and August. It is still pretty warm in April and September, but it is manageable for someone who isn't used to heat or doesn't like heat very much. If you don't mind the heat, come down in the summer and check it out. Havasu has a lot of people that come down from colder places in the winter time and then during March and April, there are a lot of college students on Spring Break. During the summer and on holiday weekends like Memorial Day and Labor Day, a lot of people from California and other nearby places come down to enjoy our river. Summer in Havasu is a very hot but happy time.
