My Christmas Traditions

Every year, the day after Thanksgiving, my mother, brother and I decorate our Christmas tree.

Our tree has never been one that you would see on the front of magazine, instead it is decorated with ornaments my brother and I made over the years, pictures of us growing up, and destinations we have traveled over the last 20+ years.

We listen to Christmas music and make fun of my father who never wants to participate. (He's pretty much the Grinch)

Throughout the 25 days before Christmas, presents appear and stockings come out, as well as broken ornaments collected from our graceful pets.

On Christmas Eve we open all of our gifts and go on with our weekly schedules.

New Year's Eve the tree is decorated with empty cans from our beverages that evening and lit on fire at midnight.

What traditions do you have?
