Lake Havasu High School Student, Cherish Hernandez, Wins Out Over 150 Students In A Statewide Cooking Competition.

Cherish, a junior, competed with over 150 other high school students across the state after only about 9 mos in the culinary program at the high-school. Things such as knife-handling, cleanliness, and efficiency we're some of the things that the judges scrutinized during the competition. She found out on the 10th of February that she made it in the top 10 and gets to go to Phoenix, AZ for the finals where she gets to prepare a lunch for the judges!

The most exciting part? She might win a scholarship to a culinary institute to further her dream of being a chef!
