Cool Treats In Lake Havasu
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! That age old rhyme definitely applies to the excessive Havasu heat. When it comes to ice cream Havasu has a lot of options. So here is a comprehensive list to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Located in the Ross Plaza (1641 N. McCulloch Blvd., #26) this frozen yogurt shop is one of the best places in town to grab a sweet treat. Their self serve style will have you in and out of there in a jiffy with all the different flavors you want at your proportions.
Good old DQ. Located down on the south side of town (3195 Maricopa Ave.) many know it as home of the Blizzard and upside down ice creams. You can always go in for lunch or dinner because they don't just have ice cream.
Havasu Water and Ice
Located in the Smith's Plaza (2331 N. McCulloch Blvd., #103) many go here for sweet treats, arcade games, and for (of course) water and ice. They sell award-winning Thrifty Ice Cream, shakes, malts, sundaes, banana splits, smoothies, old time candy, water and ice.
Heather's Water and Ice
Another Water and Ice? You may ask, yes there are not 1, not 2 but 3 Water and Ices in Havasu. All of there are sightly different. This Water and Ice is located in the Ross Plaza (34 N. Lake Havasu Ave., #9) and they just recently opened a candy store right next to their location. This is definitely a place worth checking out if you need to kill an hour or two.
Megan and Erik's Water and Ice
This is the last Water and Ice in town, I promise. So this Water and Ice is down on the south side of town in the Bashas Plaza (3269 Maricopa Ave., #109). They sell Thrifty Ice Cream, smoothies, soft-server, smoothies, shaved ice, old time candy, water and ice just like the rest of them. Except it is on the south side of town.
Scoops Homemade Ice Cream
For deliciously scrumptious homemade ice cream come into “Scoops” where only the freshest ingredients are blended together for a creamy, frosty delight. They have their shop to mimic the old school ice cream parlors like they did years ago. A little more pricey, but definitely worth it. It is located on Main Street (2014 N. McCulloch Blvd., #A).
The newest addition to Lake Havasu's frozen treat stores. At Sugar Rush they sell Thai rolled ice cream. What is that you may ask? Well this is how they describe it, "The ice cream “chefs” add things like cookies, candy, and other yummy treats into the ice cream mixture. Then, the ice cream begins to freeze. Next, the chef spreads it in a thin layer over the cold surface. After a few seconds, the chef uses a tool to scrape the ice cream off the cold surface and turn it into a roll. The rolls are then put in a cup and covered with fruit, candies, or flavored syrup." Check them out at 161 Swanson Ave. Unit C
Last but not least, its Yogurt Paradise. Where healthy meets delicious! Self-serve yogurt bar offers 10 flavors running at a time with over 40 toppings to choose from including fresh fruit, nuts, candies, Ghirardelli chocolate, and caramel sauces. Yogurts include non-fat, low-fat, no-sugar-added, gluten-free; and also offering a non-dairy sorbet. This place is great for picking up some yogurt before walking in Rotary park. They are located at 191 Swanson Ave., #104.
Whenever your sweet tooth is acting up these are the places to be for a nice treat under the summer sun!
